Organizational Analysis
The Classical Organizational Theory, as represented by Frederick Taylor’s work, would be important in implementing SIOP. This theory describes a system of division of labor, which is extremely important within a school in order to ensure all teachers are active within the school. Because schools cannot just be seen as factories that produce students, personnel issues need to be kept in perspective as well.
I believe the human relations approach, developed during the behaviorist period, would also be important in implementing the change within the school. By treating staff members well, it is speculated that they will work even harder. Knowing that the goal is strenuous to close the achievement gap, it is crucial that all teachers and staff members are fully invested in the success of all students. By treating teachers and staff members with respect, they will increase the amount of work in order to do the best for all students.
